Dr Bella Rowell
Antarctic climate scientist and educator.
Climate scientist specialising in palaeoclimate, glaciology, and Antarctica, with a PhD from the University of Cambridge. I have 8 years’ experience in climate research, including fieldwork with the British Antarctic Survey, where I worked on ice core drilling at a new site in Antarctica.
Alongside research, I have extensive experience in science communication, public speaking, and policy engagement, including serving as Antarctica Director for the International Cryosphere Climate Initiative. I am a Carbon Literacy facilitator, working at the interface of science, policy, and public understanding.
I’m a warm, engaging communicator who enjoys making complex climate science accessible and meaningful for diverse audiences.
